This is our last hope as as of today 11.15.11 Congress passed a bill to allow for millions of taxpayer dollars to inspect horse meat. Mary Landrieu [D-LA], has introduced Bill S. 1176, American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act of 2011, to amend the Horse Protection Act to prohibit the shipping, transporting, moving, delivering, receiving, possessing, purchasing, selling, or donation of horses and other equines to be slaughtered for human consumption, and for other purposes.
